  • Upon booking online you will be prompted to fill out all of the necessary forms. If you book through calling or texting please click the link in your confirmation email to fill out your forms.

  • The paste is moulded into your follicles, then removed in the direction of your hair growth, in contrast wax can only be applied onto clients skin with a stick & removed in the opposite direction. Removing hair in the direction of growth helps to prevent ingrown hairs.

    Clients have commented that their skin remains hairless for a few days up to a week longer than with traditional waxing. Sometimes wax is unable to grab the whole root along with the hair. Sugaring can at times be a more effective type of hair removal.

    Sugaring is simply a different substance to remove hair with that is warmed to room temperature rather than hot and great for the most sensitive of skins.

  • Yes! It is specifically beneficial for those with sensitive skin that has reacted badly to other forms of hair removal. We specialize in being well informed of skin sensitivities, skin types & hair textures. Sugaring can be performed on people as young as thirteen.

  • You will leave the studio with your skin feeling hydrated & relaxed. Your skin will look healthy with an apparent glow! If your appointment is later in the day we typically prepare your skin for night & no cleansing is necessary before bed. If your service is completed early in the day SPF will be applied. 

  • Bikini solely includes removal of what would be shown if you were wearing bikini bottoms.

    Modified Bikini includes leaving some hair (a triangle or similar shape) and removing most in front + removing between the cheeks.

    Brazilian includes removal of all hair in front + between the cheeks.

  • As often as every 3 weeks up to every 6 weeks. Sugaring can remove hairs as short as 1/8 of an inch in what’s called the antigen stage. Frequent visits help weaken the hair follicle which results in treatments becoming less frequent & less painful. (Results vary from person to person.)

    You must have at least two weeks of hair growth after shaving to get sugared.

  • Yes! The sugar paste is biodegradable + hypoallergenic & all products applied pre + post service are free of irritants & toxins.

  • Yes! It makes no difference to your sugarist’s technique but some clients do experience more sensitivity during menstruation. If you choose to reschedule your appointment for later in the month, we will happily arrange that for you.

  • No, it’s not recommended. Accutane causes the layers of your skin to slough off at an increased rate & sugaring will lift your live skin cells. It’s suggested to wait, at least 6 months after discontinuing use.

  • These products cause thinning and shedding of the skin. It’s suggested to wait, 25 days after the initial shedding process has ended.

  • The short answer is no. The products we use are not irritating to the skin & should not cause a breakout to surface. In fact, having a facial is recommended to speed the healing process & relieve the discomfort of current breakouts.

  • Of course! a deep cleansing service is always provided & will remove any dirt, oil or debris from your skin.  

  • It is not recommended to apply make up directly after a facial treatment. It’s best to allow the skin to fully absorb all the nutrient dense products we apply during your service. If you must apply makeup then prioritize mineral based and try to only apply a small amount.

  • Absolutely! Your skin will be perfectly prepped for make up application due to the exfoliation + hydration your skin will experience.

  • Yes! Blissoma products are formulated specifically with sensitive skin in mind. There are many factors involved with sensitive skin & a facial service can help determine through diagnosis what you can do at home to both offer relief for you current state as well as prevent your condition from worsening.  

  • Yes, facials during pregnancy are especially important for many reasons. Your skin can be reflective of the hormonal changes occurring within your body & having regular services can help alleviate some of the symptoms (i.e. breakout, increased redness and sensitivity) when your usual products may be off-limits. Facials can also be a wonderful relaxation tool which can keep your blood pressure at a healthy level.

  • If you routinely receive facial sugaring without any breakouts then a service like this would work well for your skin!

  • We strive to provide you with the best possible experience, therefore please let us know the day of your purchase or service if you have a concern or complaint. Services + packages are final & non-refundable. By booking an appointment and receiving a service, the client is agreeing to our Spa Policy and thus responsible for complete payment of any service charges. We reserve the right to make exceptions. Products may be returned within 14 days for a full refund. If you are unsure if a product will be a good fit we also offer samples of almost every product.

  • You may cancel your appointment 24 hours before your appointment with no penalty. Any late cancellations or no shows will result in a fee of 50% of the total booked service. This policy is enforced as a courtesy to let other clients know our availability, as well as to respect the time of our Estheticians. As a courtesy we send out confirmation texts & emails but it is your own responsibility to remember your appointment.
